AKTU/UPTU 2018

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) conducts Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018). AKTU is formerly known as Uttar Pradesh University (UPTU Exam 2018-2019). UPSE is also popular by the name of AKTU/UPTU 2018 entrance exam.

Through clearing this exam, students get an opportunity to enroll themselves in various programs like B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, MBA, MCA and MAM. Students who wish to study any of the above listed courses need to take this exam by filling an application form for the same.

This state examination helps students in getting admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

AKTU/UPTU 2018 Application Form:

AKTU/UPTU 2018 application form has been released via online mode. The application procedure started from 23rd January All the candidates should have a scanned copy of their photograph and signature.

Before submitting the form, make sure all the details entered are verified and correct. The procedure is completed once you’ve paid the application fee. Don’t forget to take a print out of your application form for future references. The application fee for males, transgender candidates of General/OBC category is Rs.1300 and for females, SC/ST/PWD category is Rs. 650.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for each course is different. However the minimum marks for qualifying examination should not be less than 45% in aggregate of three subjects and 40% of marks for the SC/ST category candidates. The candidate must have cleared the intermediate examination of class XII for undergraduate courses and the candidate must have a three year’s bachelors degree in any course for postgraduate courses.

Exam Pattern:

The entrance exam consists total of 11 papers for which a candidate has to appear. All the papers are of objective type, where four options will be provided out of which one will be correct. The duration of the examination will be three hours. For every right answer, the candidate will score 4 marks. There is no negative marking.

Detailed information about each paper:

Paper 1 consists of 3 subjects which includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There area total of 150 questions, 50 questions from each subject and the total marks are 600.

Paper 2 consists of 3 subjects which includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There are a total of 150 questions, 50 questions from each subject and the total marks are 600.

Paper 3 consists of 3 subjects which includes AG-I, AG-II, AG-III. There are a total of 150 questions and the total marks are 600.

Paper 4 consists of three parts which are Mathematics, Aesthetic sensitivity and Drawing Aptitude. The are 50 questions each from Mathematics and Aesthetic sensitivity and 2 from Drawing Aptitude making it a total of 102 questions. Total marks are 500.

Paper 5 is an aptitude test for General Awareness consisting of 75 questions. The total marks are 300.

Paper 6 is an aptitude test for Diploma holders in Engineering consisting of 75 questions. The totals marks are 300.

Paper 7 is an aptitude test for Diploma in Holders in Pharmacy consisting of 75 questions. The total marks are 300.

Paper 8 is an aptitude test for B.Sc graduates in Engineering consisting of 75 questions. The total marks are 400.

Paper 9 is an aptitude test for MBA consisting of 100 questions. The total marks are 400.

Paper 10 is an aptitude test for MCA consisting of 100 questions. The total marks are 400.

Paper 11 is an aptitude test for second year MCA consisting of 100 questions. The total marks are 400.

Admit Card:

Admit Card of the eligible candidates will be uploaded on the website on 20th April 2018. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official site of the exam.

It is to be noted that the candidates strictly have to follow the reporting timings and the venue of the examination.

Syllabus:

Syllabus for 2018 has not been released yet. However it is expected that the AKTU/UTPU syllabus will remain similar to the last year. Syllabus of each paper will be released soon.

Examination Result: The result will be declared in the first week of June 2018. Candidates can also get an official answer key and to secure a position in the merit list, the candidate must meet the cut-off criteria of 25% and 20% for SC/ST candidates.

Counselling:

Counselling will take place from 25th June 2018. All the selected candidates will be called for counselling and the admission procedure will be carried out, strictly based on the candidate’s ranks and choices filled by them.
